Optimizing Performance and Temperature for Industrial BOX PCs with UDinfo’s PCIe M.2 2280 SSD Solutions

Introduction

Industrial Box PCs are designed for a variety of applications in industrial environments. Known for their robust durability, they are often used in mechanical engineering, automation technology, and automotive production. One of our globally renowned European clients specializes in designing and producing high-performance Industrial fan-less Box PCs that meet IP65 standards and offer flexible installation options. When paired with UDinfo’s Gen3x4 M.2 2280 M2P-80DE series SSD, the performance of the Box PC is maximized. However, the high surface temperature of the Box PC housing, which results from the high-speed operation of the SSD, could potentially cause concerns about product lifespan and quality among end-users.

Challenges

The challenge was to maintain the performance of the SSD while effectively reducing the housing temperature.

Solutions

UDinfo conducted extensive testing and adjustments on the SSD SSD’s firmware and parameters to achieve the massive solutions. The client was able to choose a suitable performance from the test data, allowing their Box PCs to maintain high efficiency while also resolving the issue of high surface temperature on the housing.

Results

By adjusting the SSD’s firmware and parameters, UDinfo’s technical team was able to find the performance needed for the client’s Box PC during SSD operation and effectively reduce the high temperature generated by high-speed SSD operation. Through the professional knowledge of the UDinfo team, the client found a suitable solution. The performance of the BOX PC was fully realized, and potential concerns of end-users were eliminated.
